Extremely attractive example of Babe Ruth from the W575-2 strip-card series. Originally issued in strips, these cards (and almost all strip-cards) are often found with irregularly cut borders as they were cut by hand from the strips, as intended. Only ideally cut examples (which are few and far between) are awarded numerical grades by SGC (and PSA). The offered example has received an SGC Authentic designation due to uneven cuts to the side edges. Presenting as Vg+, this card displays outstanding centering, even wear to the corners, a couple very small wrinkles, and a bit of light soiling in the area of the lower left corner. The blank back is clean. This is a very desirable example of one of Babe Ruth's most classic 1920s strip cards and one that would be an outstanding addition to any Babe Ruth, strip-card, or prewar-card collection. Reserve $200. Estimate (open).
