Graded EX 60 by SGC. This is the ONLY example graded at this level with none higher! Extremely rare sample card of 1912-1913 T215 Red Cross Tobacco (Type 2), featuring Patsy Dougherty of the Chicago White Sox. T215 Red Cross is one of tobacco-card collecting's most overlooked issues. Very similar in design and borrowing images from the T206 set, T215 Red Cross cards are believed to have been issued exclusively in the Louisiana area. The cards measure 1-1/2 x 2-5/8 inches, which is the standard size for tobacco issues. The offered example is bright, crisp, and clean, with bold colors, light even wear to the corners, and excellent centering. A couple very light surface scratches are mentioned strictly for the sake of accuracy. The Red Cross advertisement on the reverse is boldly printed and well centered. This is a very desirable sample from one of tobacco-card collecting's rarest sets. Reserve $300. Estimate (open).
