Collection of seven nineteenth-century sample cards from four different classic sets, all graded and encapsulated by SGC (except for one as noted). This collection consists of the following: 1) 1887 N184 W. S. Kimball Champions James "Tip" O'Neil (FAIR 20); 2) 1887 N284 Buchner Gold Coin Yank Robinson (FAIR 20); 3) 1888 WG1 Card Game (3 cards): Elmer Foster (GAI NM+ 7.5), Jack Glassock (VG 40), and Cutrate Irwin (VG/EX 50); and 4) 1889 N526 Number 7 Cigar (2 cards): C. W. Bennett (VG 40, rare Diamond S ad on back) and J. B. Ray (GOOD+ 35). This is an excellent collection of type-cards from four of nineteenth-century card collecting's most popular sets.
