Pair of T206 tobacco cards featuring Ed Cicotte and Chick Gandil. These are the only cards of the future Chicago "Black Sox" players to appear in the T206 set. Cicotte and Gandil were each accomplished players, but Cicotte, in particular, was a major star, and might have even wound up in the Hall of Fame had he not been banned from baseball for his role in throwing the 1919 World Series. His lifetime record is 209-149. Both cards are graded and encapsulated EX 5 by PSA. This is a very attractive pair of extremely noteworthy cards from the most popular tobacco-card issue of the 1910 era. Each exhibits light wear on the corners, extremely strong colors, and outstanding centering. Both of these cards have a Piedmont advertisement on the back. Total: 2 cards. Reserve $200. Estimate $400+.
