Collection of eight different scarce T206 Southern Leaguers, each graded and encapsulated by SGC. The Southern Leaguers have always been appreciated for their scarcity and as a popular subset to the T206 series. Collectors find it particularly challenging to assemble a complete set. All eight cards feature a Piedmont reverse. This collection consists of the following: Cranston - Memphis (VG+ 45), Guiheen - Portsmouth (VG/EX+ 55), Hooker - Lynchburg (VG/EX 50), M. Miller - Dallas (VG/EX+ 55), Orth - Lynchburg (VG 40), Seitz - Norfolk (VG 40), Thornton - Mobile (VG/EX 50), and Violat - Jacksonville (VG 40). This is a very impressive looking group. The scarcity of the Southern Leaguers has always made putting together a complete T206 set all the more difficult, and this collection represents a particularly attractive sampling from this popular T206 subset. The equivalent SMR value in the assigned grades is $1,320 (factoring the half-grades at the lower full-grade level). Total: 8 cards. Reserve $300. Estimate $500+.
