Collection of fifteen different scarce T206 Southern Leaguers (out of the 48 cards which comprise the entire “Southern League” subset), each graded and encapsulated by PSA (6) or SGC (9). The cards range in grade from GOOD to VG/EX+. All have Piedmont (9) or Old Mill (6) advertising backs. This collection consists of the following: Bastian - San Antonio (PSA VG-EX 4), Breitenstein – New Orleans (SGC VG 40), Coles – Augusta (PSA VG-EX 4, Old Mill), Foster – Charleston (SGC VG 40, Old Mill), B. Hart - Little Rock (PSA GOOD 2), Helm – Columbus (SGC GOOD 30), Jordan – Atlanta (PSA VG-EX 4), Manion – Columbia (PSA VG 3, Old Mill), Orth - Lynchburg (SGC VG/EX 50), Reagan - New Orleans (SGC VG/EX 50), Revelle - Richmond (PSA GOOD 2, Old Mill), Shaughnessy - Roanoke (SGC VG/EX+ 55), Thebo – Waco (SGC GOOD 30, Old Mill), Westlake – Danville (SGC GOOD 30, Old Mill), and White – Houston (SGC VG 40). The Southern Leaguers have always been appreciated for their scarcity and as a popular subset to the T206 series. Collectors find it particularly challenging to assemble a complete set. This is a very impressive looking group. The scarcity of the Southern Leaguers has always made putting together a complete T206 set even more difficult, and this collection represents a particularly attractive and affordable foundation for the assembly of this popular T206 subset. The equivalent SMR value for the assigned grades is $2,035 (factoring in the one half-grade at the lower whole-grade level). Total: 15 cards. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000+.
