Extremely interesting collection of seven unusual production anomaly cards from the T206 White Border set, each graded and encapsulated by SGC and highlighted by Hall of Famer Mordecai Brown and one Southern Leaguer. Each card features an Old Mill (2) or Piedmont (5) advertising reverse and is significant for slight variations in the printing of the nameplate, resulting in none, some, or all of the printing being visible on both top and bottom. The collection consists of the following: Mordecai Brown/portrait (HOF, GOOD 30), McQuiilan/ball in hand (VG 40), Meyers (VG 40), Pelty/vertical (GOOD 30, Old Mill back), Scott (POOR 10), Stephens (VG 40), and White (Southern Leaguer, GOOD 30, Old Mill back). When it comes to the T206 set, which is the most highly collected of all vintage-card sets, anything unusual (especially if it might in any way shed light on the mysteries of how the T206 set was printed) is of great note. As collectors have become more sophisticated, there has been a growing appreciation for all great rarities and unusual cards associated with the landmark T206 set. This is an extremely unusual group of printing anomalies that we believe will greatly interest collectors of the various nuances found within this iconic set. Total: 7 cards. Reserve $200.
