Graded VG-EX+ 4.5. While Cracker Jacks were issued one card per box, in 1915 the entire set of 176 cards could also be ordered direct from the factory by mail in exchange for 100 coupons, or 1 coupon plus 25 cents. Cracker Jacks are universally regarded as one of the most classic and highly regarded baseball-card sets ever produced. Crisp and clean, both front and back, with a deep red background and light, even wear to the corners (a bit more to the upper right) . Centered a hint to the right and completely free of caramel staining. A light wrinkle across the upper right corner accounts for the assigned grade. This is a very attractive mid-grade example of Hall of Famer Ray Schalk. Reserve $200. Estimate (open).
