Fold-over scorecard issued for a doubleheader between the Boston Braves and New York Giants at Boston’s South End Grounds on September 16, 1905. The preprinted lineups include Tenney, Dolan, Delehanty, Cannell, and Willis for Boston, and Bresnahan, Browne, McGann, Devlin, Strang, and Mathewson for New York. The program has been scored in pencil, but the notations are too faint to determine which of the two games it represents. (The Giants swept the doubleheader, winning the first game 7-1 and the second 3-1.) The date, “Sat. Sept. 16” is printed at the base of the scoring sheet. The front and back covers feature a wonderful advertisement for the New England Worlds Fair at Paragon Park (Nantasket Beach). The program (7.5 x 9.5 inches) is toned and displays clear tape in repair to a split along the spine and an interior tear; otherwise it has an overall Excellent appearance. Reserve $200.
