Collection of 208 different low-number cards (#1-310) from the legendary 1952 Topps set, highlighted by three Hall of Famers and eighteen black backs. Condition is 48% Vg to Vg-Ex (mostly Vg), 19% Gd, and 33% Pr to Fr (mostly Fr). Five cards have been graded and encapsulated by SGC (4) and PSA (1). Keys: #22 D. DiMaggio (Fr), 65 Slaughter (HOF, red back, Pr), 66 Roe (red back, GOOD 30), 88 Feller (HOF, Pr), 129 Mize (HOF, VG 40), and 195 Minoso (GOOD+ 2.5). Additional SGC graded cards: VG 40 (2 cards): #115 and 306. Also included are seven duplicates. Missing the following 102 cards for completion #1, 2, 5, 7, 8, 11, 18, 19, 26, 29, 32, 33, 35-37, 40, 46, 48, 49, 52-54, 56, 58-60, 64, 67, 75, 82, 84, 87, 89, 91, 94, 100, 101, 105, 108, 109, 111, 114, 122, 128, 135, 140, 144, 145, 155, 157, 168-170, 173, 175, 183, 189, 191, 192, 194, 197-200, 214-218, 225, 227, 230, 232, 235-237, 243, 246, 248, 251, 252, 259, 261, 264, 267-269, 271, 274, 277, 283, 291, 292, 294, 296-299, 301, 305, 307, and 309. This is a very attractive partially complete low-number run of 1952 Topps, one of card collecting’s most popular classics, in a very desirable and relatively affordable grade (compared to the much costlier higher-grade 1952 Topps cards) and representing a very substantial start toward a complete set. Total: 215 cards (208 different). Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$1,000+.
