Collection of fifteen different (of the 30 in the set) E93 Standard Caramel cards highlighted by eight Hall of Famers. This 30-card set was issued in 1910 by the Standard Caramel Co. of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. This set is closely related to several other candy sets from the era which share the same format and, in many cases, the same player image. Caramel cards are far rarer than most tobacco cards from the same era. Each card is graded and encapsulated by SGC (except for two PSA as noted). The collection consists of the following: One EX+ 70: Phillippi. One EX 60: Gibson. One VG/EX+ 55: McGraw (HOF). One PSA VG-EX 4: Leach. Four VG 40: Chase, Evers (HOF), Jennings (HOF, PSA VG 3), and Joss (HOF). Five GOOD 30: Chance (HOF), Delehanty, Griffith (HOF), Tinker (HOF), and Wiltse. Two FAIR 20: Ames and Bender (HOF). This mixed-grade group includes a particularly high concentration of Hall of Famers, and represents a very substantial start to collecting the E93 set. The equivalent SMR value in the assigned grades is $2,775 (factoring the half-grades at the lower full-grade level). Total: 15 cards. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$2,000+.
