Complete original unopened wax box of 1966 Philadelphia Gum "Green Berets" nonsport cards. This box houses twenty-four packs. This set is dedicated entirely to the men of the U. S. Army special forces known as the Green Berets and features various black-and-white scenes related to their work throughout the set. This display box features a colorful illustration of a Green Beret soldier. The set title is boldly printed in green on top of the box. The entire box comes shrink-wrapped by Baseball Card Exchange (owned by Steve Hart, the foremost expert on unopened material). While it is impossible to provide guarantees with reference to grading of unopened material, there is, of course, the very real possibility that within this box are Mint or Gem Mint examples. The store display box is bright and bold, with only a few minor touches of shelf wear. It otherwise presents exactly as it did on store shelves over fifty years ago! This is an outstanding complete unopened wax box from this very popular mid-1960s nonsport issue. Reserve $200. Estimate (open).
