Collection of twenty-four unopened wax packs from the 1966 Topps "Batman - Series A" issue, accompanied by an original display box of "Batman - Bat Laffs." The display box grades NM 7 by GAI and has moderate shelf wear. Batman took the world by storm in 1966 with the introduction of the wildly popular Batman television series. Topps joined the bandwagon with several series of card sets devoted to the Caped Crusader. This classic 44-card set, the second in the Batman series, features brilliantly illustrated scenes of Batman and Robin in action as they protect Gotham City. The set is oftentimes referred to as the "Red Bat" series as a small red Batman logo appears on the front of each card. Twenty-four unopened wax packs of 1966 Topps "Batman - Series A" cards with an original display box of "Bat Laffs," all graded by GAI. Total: 25 items. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000++.
