Complete original unopened wax box of 1965 Philadelphia "War Bulletin" nonsport cards. The box houses twenty-four packs. This display box features a graphic illustration of an American soldier in the center flanked by smaller images of a German soldier on the left and a Japanese soldier on the right, which represented the two major powers we were at war with during this unsettling time. The set title is boldly printed in white on top of the box. It is interesting to note that the set is commonly referred to as "War Bulletin" and not "World War II" as indicated on top of the box. The entire box comes shrink-wrapped by Baseball Card Exchange (owned by Steve Hart, the foremost expert on unopened material). While it is impossible to provide guarantees with reference to grading of unopened material, there is, of course, the very real possibility that within this box are Mint or Gem Mint examples. The store display box is bright and bold, with only a few minor touches of shelf wear. It otherwise presents exactly as it did on store shelves over fifty years ago! This is an outstanding complete unopened wax box from this very popular nonsport issue. Reserve $300. Estimate (open).
