Presented is a fascinating collection of sixteen different non-sport card set wrappers and vintage confectionery wrappers, dating from the 1930s and 1940s. The collection consists of the following: Card Set Wrappers: 1) 1935 R89 Gum, Inc. "Mickey Mouse Bubble Gum" (5 x 7.25 inches). There are two versions of the original wrapper for this set. This is the five character version. 2) Circa 1930s R70 Shelby Gum "Humpty Dumpty Up-To-Date" (7 x 5.25 inches). This interesting wrapper has generic illustrations with no mention of Humpty Dumpty trading cards. 3) 1933 R71 Planters Nuts "Hunted Animals" (5 x 5.5 inches). Extremely scarce example of the original wrapper features the Mr. Peanut mascot riding an elephant. 4) 1935 R48 Gum, Inc. "Film Funnies" (4.5 x 6 inches). This colorful wrapper features several caricature head-shots of famous actors from the era which are featured in the set. 5) 1934 R151 National Chicle "Tom Mix" (5 x 6.75 inches). There are two versions of the original wrapper for this set. This is the orange and yellow color version. 6) 1935 R125 National Chicle "Secret Service Flashes" (7 x 4 inches). This scarce wrapper could be sent back to the company to redeem a bottle of "Secret Ink," which explains its scarcity today. Slightly trimmed down from its original size. 7) 1937 R19-2 Goudey "Auto License Plates" (5 x 4 inches). 8) 1938 R19-3 Goudey "Auto License Plates" (4.5 x 4.5 inches). 9) 1939 V358 World Wide Gum "Auto License Plates" (5 x 4 inches). Accompanied by an example of an issued card (New Mexico, Gd). Confectionery Wrappers: 10) Circa 1936 National Chicle "National Stamp Club" (4.5 x 7.5 inches). 11) Circa 1930s Shotwell Co. "Little Orphan Annie" Candy Bar (6.75 x 4.5 inches). 12) Circa 1940s Goudey "Sur-prise Picture Gum" (6 x 5 inches). 13) Circa 1930s Overland Candy "Red Hot" (6 x 5 inches). 14) Circa 1930s Boston Confectionery "Budget Money" (5.25 x 7.25 inches). 15) Circa 1930s Gumakers of America "Bubly Gum" (5.5 x 5.75 inches). 16) Circa 1948 R154 Gumakers of America "Pic Transfer Bubble Gum" (3.5 x 4 inches). All sixteen wrappers have normal fold lines, wrinkles, and occasionally a minor tear or two. This is a very attractive group of rarely seen nonsport wax wrappers dating from the 1930s and 1940s, all of which would make outstanding additions to even the most advanced nonsport collection. Total: 16 wax wrappers.
