Rolling Stones promotional photo card (5.5 x 3.5) signed in blue ink on the front by all five band members: Keith Richards, Mick Jagger, Brian Jones, Bill Wyman and Charlie Watts. Each member has boldly signed the piece either atop or next to his respective image, with all of the signatures grading either “9” or “10.” Decca Records first issued this promotional card in 1963 to promote the Stones' first two singles. While this example does not have any advertising text on the reverse, we can only assume it dates to the same time period. Considered by many to be the greatest rock-n-roll band in the world, the group's unparalleled career began with the classic lineup featured here. The rarest of the five signatures is that of Brian Jones, who left the group due to drug and emotional problems in early 1969, and tragically died in a mysterious swimming pool accident just months later. The card (5.5 x 4.25 inches) displays light handling wear and is in Excellent condition overall. Full LOA from James Spence/JSA. Pre certified by Steve Grad and Brian Sobrero/Beckett Authentication. Reserve $200. Estimate (open).
