Pair of attractive World War I posters (20 x 30 inches), each encouraging the purchase of Liberty Bonds. The first is titled "Ring It Again" and features a large image of the Liberty Bell. The text below reads "Buy A United States Government Bond of the Second Liberty Loan of 1917 - Help Your Country and Yourself." The poster displays a number of moderate interior and border tears, many of which have been repaired on the reverse with clear tape. Although technically in Good to Very Good condition, most of the border flaws can be easily matted out and the central image area is closer to Excellent in its overall appearance. The second poster, by noted illustrator Howard Chandler Christy, features a large illustration of "Lady Liberty" holding a flag while a troop of American soldiers march behind her. The text reads "Fight or Buy Bonds - Third Liberty Loan." The poster displays a moderate horizontal fold and a number of small tears, many of which have been repaired either on the front or reverse with clear tape. In Good to Very Good condition. Total: 2 posters. Reserve $300. Estimate (open).
