Rarely offered and very impressive-looking collection of 1940-1941 V301-2 O-Pee-Chee includes thirty-nine of the fifty cards comprising this rare, unusual, and very substantial 1940s Canadian hockey issue. Each card measures 5 x 7 inches and features a striking sepia-toned photo of a professional hockey player from the NHL. The V301-2 set is an extension of the V301-1 series and is numbered (#101-150) sequentially from the V301-1 set. They are extremely condition sensitive due to their large-size. All of the photos are posed in uniform. The V301-2 O-Pee-Chee set features numerous stars and Hall of Famers, including Toe Blake, Turk Broda, Syl Apps, Max Bentley, and Milt Schmidt. This is the first collection of V301-2s we have ever offered! Condition is 21% Ex-Mt to Nr/Mt, 15% Ex, 28% Vg-Ex, 15% Vg, and 21% lesser (mostly Gd). Keys: #101 Blake (Gd+), 108 Broda (Vg+), 110 Drillon (Ex-Mt), 118 Apps (Vg+), 122 Schriner (Gd), 124 Stewart (Gd), 130 Broda (Ex), 131 Bentley (pencil mark on front, otherwise Vg), 132 Schmidt (Ex), and 136 Patrick (Vg-Ex).
