Very unusual collection of twenty-eight different baseball card-related items (14) and pins (14), spanning the years 1909 to 1913, with representation from six different issues, highlighted by Hall of Famers Cy Young and Christy Mathewson. Four items are graded and encapsulated by PSA. 1) 1909-1911 E254 Colgan's Chips (8 cards): Bartley (Fr), Chase (Vg-Ex+), Devlin (Gd), Ellis (PSA EX-MT 6), Killefer (PSA EX-MT 6), Paskert (Vg), Taylor (PSA NM-MT 8), and Walker (Gd). Also included are two original Colgan’s Chips packaging tins. The tins were manufactured in two different colors, green (Mint Chips) and red (Violet Chips), which are both present in this lot. Because they are made of metal, these candy containers are prone to small scratches, chipping, and minor rust. The tins are in overall Vg-Ex to Excellent condition 2) 1909-1912 PX7 Sweet Caporal Domino Discs (5 discs): Delahanty (extreme factory printing error with his torso at the top and his head at the bottom of the disc), Mathewson (HOF, Vg-Ex), Titus (Ex), White (Nr/Mt), and Young (HOF, Ex-Mt+). 3) 1910-1912 P2 Sweet Caporal Pins (11 pins): Hemphill, Jennings (HOF), two Knight, Merkle, Murray, Oldring, Paskert (PSA NM 7), Rucker, Schmidt, and White. The group grades Ex/Ex-Mt overall with a couple slightly lesser. 4) 1910 Mascot Gum Rochester Player Pin: Moeller (Vg). 5) 1911 PE2 Diamond Gum Pin (2 items): Davis (Vg) and Overall (uncirculated cardboard disc never made into a pin, Vg). 6) 1912-1913 E270-2 Colgan's Chips "Tin Tops" (1 card): Konetchy (Gd). Unusual selection of quality baseball-related items and pins assembled long ago by an old-time collector. Total: 30 items (fourteen card-related, fourteen pins, and two tin containers). Reserve $300.
