Outstanding examples of Hall of Famer Roger Bresnahan and New York Highlanders star Hal Chase from the rare and highly regarded PC796 sepia postcard set issued in 1910, both graded and encapsulated by SGC. The manufacturer of this sepia-toned postcard series is unknown. The PC796 set is one of the most striking sets of the era. Both cards have never been mailed and have no writing on their traditional postcard reverses. 1) Roger Bresnahan (HOF, VG+ 45). Bright and clean, with excellent centering, a few small creases, and a bit of light scuffing to the reverse. 2) Hal Chase (VG/EX+ 55). Crisp and clean, both front and back, with one faint wrinkle and a couple small dents in the right edge. These are exceptionally rare cards of two of the era's legendary stars. Dimensions: 3.5 x 5.5 inches. Total: 2 cards. Reserve $300. Estimate (open).
