Black-leather wallet issued to Hall of Fame pitcher Chief Bender during the Philadelphia A's post-season barnstorming tour of Cuba in 1912. The gilt lettering on the interior reads "Bacardi & Co. To The Athletics B. B. C. On Their Visit to Cuba 1912." This wallet originates from Bender's estate and includes one of Bender's business cards dating from his later years as a scout with A's (circa 1940s). The wallet (6.5 x 4.25 inches; folded) displays moderate-to-heavy exterior wear, including a few small tears at the fold. In Very Good condition overall. Reserve $200. Estimate (open).
