Program issued for a regular-season National League game between the New York Giants and Boston Doves held at the Polo Grounds in 1909. The preprinted lineups include Doyle, Herzog, Murray, and Tenney for New York, and Beaumont, Getz, Shean, and Becker for Boston. Six possible starting pitchers are listed for each club, including Mathewson and Marquard for the Giants. The game is not scored, but there are a number of pencil notations and lines on each score sheet. The eight-page program (7 x 10.25 inches) displays a heavy horizontal fold, a few slight creases, and slight separation of the covers along the spine at the top. In Very Good condition overall. Reserve $200. Estimate (open).
