Hall of Fame yellow postcard of Jimmie Foxx, signed by “The Beast” on the front. Foxx has scripted his name in blue ink along the top border, with the signature grading “7.” Jimmie Foxx autographed yellow Hall of Fame postcards are scarce. The reason for that is timing. The Hall of Fame began issuing yellow postcards in 1964 and Foxx passed away in the summer of 1967. Therefore, fans had only a short three-and-a-half year window to obtain his signature on the new cards. This is only the second example we have ever offered. The postcard (3.5 x 5.5 inches) displays heavy creasing throughout and has paper residue on the reverse from having once been mounted in an album. In Fair condition overall. Full LOA from James Spence/JSA. Reserve $500. Estimate (open).
