Remarkable baseball signature collection, originating from the Dexter Press file archives, featuring sixteen different Hall of Famers and numerous top stars, many of whom are represented more than once. All of the 126 autographs in this offering were obtained by Dexter Press for use as templates to create the stamped facsimile signatures that appear on the company's 1967 Dexter Press Premiums. (Not all of the players represented here were included in the set.) As such, the players were generally instructed to produce clear and bold signatures. Unfortunately, some signatures that did not meet the quality standards required for the project were enhanced by the company's art division, a few of which are included in this collection (all of the enhanced examples are duly noted in our listing). Many of the signed sheets are irregularly cut, and many have production numbers written alongside them in pencil. Some sheets (approximately, 4 x 1.5 inches on average; Ex overall) contain two or three signatures of the respective player. In our listing, "double" indicates two signatures on a sheet, while "triple" indicates three signatures on a sheet. The collection is composed of 89 separate signature sheets, with all of the signatures scripted in what appears be black marker or black felt-tip pen. Unless otherwise noted, all of the signatures grade "9" or "10." The number in parenthesis next to each player's name indicates the number of signature sheets for that player (if more than one), including if any are "doubles" or "triples." [i. e., a listing such as "Smith (2, one double)" indicates two sheets, one with a single signature and one with two signatures.] Bolded names indicate some of the scarcer signatures represented here.

Hall of Famers: Aparicio, Bench, Bunning (3), Clemente, Hunter (2, one triple; the single sheet is signed "Jim 'Catfish' Hunter," the triple is signed "Jim Hunter," with the three signatures each grading "6"), Kaline (3, one double), Mantle, Mathews, Mays (enhanced), Mazeroski (3, one triple), McCovey (3), Morgan (2, one double, the single-sheet signature is enhanced), Perez, Seaver (2, one double), Stargell (3, one triple), Wilhelm (double),

Non Hall of Famers: Tommy Agee (2, one double), Rich Allen, Jim Bouton, Norm Cash (3, one double), Johnny Callison (2), Rocky Colavito, Ron Davis (double), Dick Farrell (2, one double), Don Hoak (double), Elston Howard (3), Frank Howard (4, one double), Tommy John (3, one double), Deron Johnson (2, one double), Mickey Lolich (2, one double). Jim Maloney (double), Jerry May (triple), Denny McLain, Bob Moose (triple), Ray Oyler (2, one triple), Joe Pepitone, Vada Pinson (3, one double), Johnny Podres (2, one double), Pete Rose (3), Johnny Sain (triple), Chico Salmon (2, one double), Chris Short (3), Moose Skowron (2), Bob Uecker (double), Zoilo Versalles, Leon Wagner (triple), Maury Wills (3, one triple), and Earl Wilson (3, one double).
