Presented is an extraordinary near-complete set of 1964 Topps comprised of 569 different of the 587 cards in the set, all autographed. An additional fifty-three multi-player cards are also included for a total of 622 cards. It was often difficult to get two players to sign the same card, so an alternative was to get doubles of the multiplayer cards and have one player sign each. Dozens of Hall of Famers and stars are included within this near-complete set, many of which appear more than once, such as Hank Aaron, Roger Maris, and Willie Mays, due to their inclusion on Leaders cards or other multi-player designs. The missing eighteen cards for completion are as follows: #11 NL RBI Leaders, 38 Aguirre, 41 Friendly Foes, 113 Powell, 148 Martin, 207 Hutchinson (died 11/64), 256 Weekly, 293 Phillies, 389 Umbricht (not possible – died 4/64), 412 Culp, 413 Keene, 440 Clemente, 443 Dressen, 448 Rojas, 511 Jackson, 550 Hubbs (impossible), 577 Coleman, and 585 Taylor. An incredible 467 cards have been authenticated and encapsulated; the majority (437) are PSA/DNA certified, with sixteen SGC Authentic, six BVG/JSA, and four each by SGC/JSA and BCCG/JSA. Cards are signed in either ballpoint pen, Sharpie marker, or felt-tip pen, with signatures ranging in grade from "5" to "10." Listed below are a selection of key cards representing the more than seventy Hall of Fame signatures included within this lot.
