Official fold-over invitation to attend “The Yankee Stadium’s Silver Anniversary Dinner at The Ruppert Brewery” on Saturday, June 12, 1948, signed by 50 attendees on the interior (two signatures appear on the back cover). As one would expect, nearly all of the signers are Yankees players or team executives, including Joe DiMaggio, Bill Dickey, Yogi Berra (signed “Larry Berra”), Ed Barrow, Bucky Harris, George Weiss, Joe Gordon, Joe Sewell, Waite Hoyt, Joe Bush, Bob Meusel, Sam Jones, Carl Mays, Wally Schang, Elmer Smith, Wally Pipp, Hinkey Haines, Joe Dugan, Whitey Witt, Red Patterson, Bill Robinson, George Pipgras, Ocar Roettger, Spud Chandler, Al Schacht, Charlie Keller, Red Rolfe, Tom Zachary, Wilcy Moore, Bump Hadley, Sam Byrd, Cliff Mapes, Chuck Dressen, Pat Collins, Mark Koenig, and Joe Page. The signatures have all been boldly scripted in either blue or black fountain pen and grade “9” or “10.” This particular invitation was extended to Oscar Roettger, who was a member of the club’s first World Championship club in 1923, and bears his handwritten name on the front cover. The invitation (10.5 x 8.25 inches; unfolded) displays a horizontal fold and a few tiny, scattered areas of light discoloration on the back cover. In Excellent condition overall. Full LOA from James Spence/JSA. Pre certified by Steve Grad and Brian Sobrero/Beckett Authentication.
