Official American League (Barnard) ball signed in black fountain pen by the following 28 members of the 1928 Philadelphia Athletics: Cobb, Speaker (sweet spot), Foxx, Simmons (blue fountain pen), Collins, Cochrane, Grove (blue fountain pen), Mack (Mgr.; on ball label), Powers (sweet spot), French (sweet spot; green fountain pen), Haas, Bush, Orwoll, Shores, Daney, Miller, Rommell, Ehmke, Bishop, Johnson, Quinn, Hale, Thomas, Walberg, Boley, Hauser, Dykes (on ball label), and Johnny Lyons (not a roster player). Signatures range from "4" to "7," averaging "6," with the exception of Mack and Dykes (each is very faint and grades "1/2"). The ball is moderately soiled, with a number of small abrasions. In Very Good condition overall. Accompanied by a newspaper supplement featuring composite images of the 1928 Philadelphia A's that was issued in the April 8, 1928, edition of the Public Record.
