Presented is an exceptionally rare complete box of 1973 Topps "Candy Lids" consisting of twenty-four unopened containers of bubble gum. This is one of the most interesting and unusual Topps issues ever created. These "cards" are actually round lids designed to be the tops of little cups of bubble-gum. A colorful portrait of one of fifty-five stars and Hall of Famers of the day is found on the bottom of each lid, with advertising for "Baseball Stars Gum" on the top. The containers all present as Ex-Mt or better and have remained in outstanding condition given their fragile nature. The display box boasts bright colors and is structurally sound, although the top lid is detached from the box, held on by clear tape. This is an exceptional collection of unopened containers and a display box relating to this very interesting and unusual 1970s Topps issue, which would make an outstanding addition to any advanced unopened collection. Total: 24 unopened containers housed in the original display box.

Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$2,000+.
