Extremely attractive original five-cent display box from the 1968 Topps "Baseball Posters" series, which originally housed twenty-four nickel packs of this unusual issue. The display box, featuring Hall of Famer Mickey Mantle’s poster from the set on the top lid, has visually always been one of the most exciting Topps counter-display box designs. The box has been well preserved, displaying only light shelf wear and a couple creases (which are so common to display boxes from this era), looking as it did when it sat on the candy-counter shelf nearly fifty years ago. A superb companion piece to any complete 1968 Topps "Baseball Posters" set or addition to any advertising or display collection. Reserve $200. Estimate (open).
