Original 1967 Topps uncut proof sheet features thirty-three scarce high-number series cards highlighted by the rookie cards of Hall of Famers Tom Seaver and Rod Carew, two of the key cards from this classic 1960s Topps issue. This sheet also includes #558 Mark Belanger rookie and 607 Mickey Stanley. 1967 Topps proof sheets are easily distinguished from production sheets by their blank-backs and the fact they have only thirty-three cards per sheet (as opposed to 132 cards for production sheets), with large margin areas and color proofing bars at the bottom. This is a particularly attractive 1960s Topps proof sheet, and one of the few featuring rookie cards of significant Hall of Famers. The sheet displays some moderate creasing (mostly in the corners and wide margin areas), paper loss on the upper right corner from being mounted, and a corner mount stuck to the lower left corner of sheet, all of which have no impact on the display value or overall Near Mint appearance of the sheet, with all the interior cards including Seaver and Carew appearing Mint. This sheet would make an outstanding companion piece to any 1967 Topps set or serve as an extraordinary addition to any uncut sheet or Tom Seaver collection. Dimensions: 29 x 21 inches. The substantial size/weight of this item requires that there will be a shipping charge for this lot (which will vary depending upon where it is being shipped). The shipping charge will be billed separately from the auction invoice. Reserve $500. Estimate (open).
