Presented is an extremely substantial collection of 1964 Topps cards consisting of approximately 2,900 cards, highlighted by 150 Hall of Famers, including Willie Mays, Hank Aaron, and Ernie Banks. This is a very consistent and presentable collection that grades 28% Ex to Ex-Mt (including a few better), 62% Vg to Vg-Ex, and 10% lesser (including some miscut). Keys: Seven #35 Mathews (two miscut, otherwise Vg-Ex, Vg, and four Gd), four 55 Banks (Vg, two Gd, and Fr), five 120 Drysdale (Ex, Vg, two Gd, and Fr), eleven150 Lolich RC (two Ex, three Vg-Ex, three Vg, two Gd, and one Fr), 150 Mays (Fr), four 167 Piniella RC (two Vg-Ex, Vg, and Fr), sixteen 177 Killebrew (three Vg, eleven Gd, and two Fr), four 182 Yastrzemski/Schilling (two Ex, Vg, and Gd), three 210 Yastrzemski (two Vg and Gd), four 225 Maris (Vg, Gd, and two Fr), two 230 B. Robinson (Gd and Fr), eight 244 Larussa RC (two Ex, two Vg-Ex, two Vg, Gd, and Fr), three 250 Kaline (two Vg and Fr), six 280 Marichal (four Gd, Fr, and Pr), five 300 Aaron (Vg-Ex, Vg, two Gd, and Pr), 306 Mays/Cepeda (Vg), seven 390 Cepeda (Vg-Ex and six Gd), 400 Spahn (Vg-Ex), and ten 460 Gibson (two Ex, Vg-Ex, two Vg, four Gd, and Fr). Thirty-two of the key cards have been downgraded for pencil marks on the backs, and have far greater eye appeal than suggested by their technically accurate assigned grades. This assemblage, which does not include any cards numbered higher than 461, features heavy duplication but provides an instant massive collection of cards from this popular 1960s Topps issue. Total: approximately 2900 cards. Reserve $400. Estimate $1,000+.
