Graded NM 84 by SGC. This is a very attractive high-grade rookie example of Hall of Fame pitcher Nolan Ryan, one of the keys to the 1968 Topps set and one of the most famous of all Topps cards. The 1968 Topps set is prone to many different problems, including centering issues and print quality. This is an outstanding example, with centering only slightly toward the bottom, four strong corners, and vibrant colors. The reverse is crisp and clean. Slightly off-register color alignment is mentioned strictly for the sake of accuracy. This is a superb example of one of modern card collecting's great classics and one that would be a worthy addition to any high-grade Hall of Fame or rookie-card collection. Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$1,000+.
