Presented is a complete set of 1960 Topps baseball, which was Topps' last horizontal issue, highlighted by the rookie cards of Hall of Famers Carl Yastrzemski and Willie McCovey. Many of the biggest stars in the set, including Mantle, Mays, and Aaron, appear in the set more than once due to the All-Star card series. Mantle actually has three cards in this set, as he also appears on the #160 "Rival All-Stars" card with Ken Boyer. Condition of this set is 11% Nr/Mt (including a couple Nr/Mt-Mt), 70% Ex to Ex-Mt, and 19% Vg to Vg-Ex (including nine lesser). Five cards have been graded and encapsulated by PSA. Keys:
#1 Wynn (Vg-Ex+), 10 Banks (Vg-Ex), 28 B. Robinson (Vg-Ex+), 35 Ford (Vg-Ex), 47 Zimmer (NM 7), 50 Kaline (Vg-Ex), 73 Gibson (Ex-Mt), 148 Yastrzemski RC (PSA EX-MT 6), 160 Mantle/Boyer (Vg-Ex), 200 Mays (Vg-Ex), 250 Musial (Vg-Ex), 300 Aaron (Vg-Ex), 316 McCovey RC (Ex), 326 Clemente (Ex), 332 Yankees Team (Vg+), 343 Koufax (Ex), 350 Mantle (EX-MT 6), 377 Maris (Vg-Ex), 445 Spahn (Ex+), 475 Drysdale (Ex), 480 Berra (Vg-Ex), 482 Bolling (NM-MT 8), 490 F. Robinson (Ex), 493 Snider (Vg-Ex+), 554 McCovey AS (Ex+), 563 Mantle AS (Ex-Mt), 564 Mays AS (Ex), and 566 Aaron AS (EX-MT 6). Complete 1960 Topps sets show up with far less frequency than many other sets from the era. This is a very attractive complete set which, in addition to all the special cards and scarce high numbers (#507-572), is loaded with Hall of Famers and stars from the 1960s. Total: 572 cards. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$2,000.
