Exceptional high-grade collection of four 1958 Bell Brand Potato Chips cards, highlighted by two Hall of Famers. This very scarce and distinctive set featuring Dodgers players was issued regionally only in the Los Angeles area to commemorate the Dodgers' first season on the West Coast. One card was packaged in a thin cellophane wrapper with each bag of Bell Brand Potato Chips. As a result of the product with which they were packaged, heavy grease stains and creases are common with this issue, making it all the more difficult to acquire high-grade examples. Each card has been graded and encapsulated by PSA. The collection consists of the following: Gilliam (EX+ 5.5), Reese (HOF, NM-MT 8), Snider (HOF, EX 5), and Zimmer (EX-MT 6). All cards are bright, crisp, and clean, with a tremendous overall display value. The total SMR value for the individual cards (factoring the half-grade at the lower whole-grade level) is $975. Total: 4 cards. Reserve $400. Estimate $1,000+.
