Presented is an extremely rare three-card advertising panel issued by Topps. This is a very significant advertising item relating to the landmark 1952 Topps set. The front features three sample cards, #58 Bob Mahoney, #59 Robin Roberts (HOF), and #60 Sid Hudson. These panels were provided to grocers and candy-store owners to illustrate the format of the set and to generate ordering interest. On the reverse is advertising for the "Giant Size Topps Baseball Picture Cards" with promises of "Full-Color Action Shots - Plus Bubble Gum" and "Big Cards! Big Series! Big Sales!". This is a tremendous rarity, which introduced the 1952 Topps set to retailers. We can only recall offering one other 1952 Topps salesman sample panel in the last fifteen years! This panel, which measures 7-7/8 by 3-11/16 inches, is in overall Excellent condition, with bright colors, minor touches of wear at the corners, and light toning visible on the front. The reverse is boldly printed. A superb and extremely rare salesman sample, which would be an outstanding companion piece to any complete 1952 Topps set or addition to any world-class advertising collection. Reserve $300.
