Superb high-grade collection of twenty different 1952 Red Man tobacco cards (all with tabs), each graded and encapsulated by SGC. This collection is highlighted by ten Hall of Famers, including Ted Williams, Willie Mays, Stan Musial, and Yogi Berra. SGC Grading Composite: Five NM/MT 88: #5A, 15N Mays, 17N Reese, 20N Slaughter, and 25N. Four NM+ 86: #5N, 7A, 11A, and 12N Kiner. Eleven NM 84: #1A Stengel, 1N Durocher, 3A Berra, 10A, 13A Kell, 14N, 16N Musial, 17A, 23A Williams, 24N, and 26A. Each card is remarkably crisp and clean, with brilliant colors, flawless surface, and sharp corners. Red Man Tobacco cards are far rarer than most 1950s baseball cards. Because of their tabs (which were designed to be cut) and method of issue, they often have condition problems. This is a gorgeous collection of cards in very high grade with several notable highlights. Many consider Red Man Tobacco to represent one of the best values of all cards from the era. The total SMR value for the collection is $7,810 (factoring the four half-grades at the lower whole-grade level). Total: 20 cards.
