Graded MINT 9 by PSA. Ultra-high-grade example of Hall of Fame pitcher Warren Spahn from the 1950 Drake's Cookies issue. This is the ONLY example graded at this level by PSA with none higher! Out of 928 Drake's cards evaluated by PSA to date, only two cards (including this one) of any player have graded at this level, with no PSA 10s listed. Because of the black flush-to-the-border design and how they were issued (regionally, one card per box, and with cookies to kids), Drake's has always been a very condition-sensitive issue. Crisp and clean, both front and back, with four sharp corners, and centered slightly toward the right. There is a faint surface wrinkle visible on the back near the upper right corner. In our opinion, this example displays a slight trim to all edges. This is a very attractive ultra-high-grade example of one of Spahn’s rarest and most desirable cards. Reserve $300. Estimate (open).
