Outstanding collection of five different R328 U.S. Caramel cards, each professionally graded by SGC. All of the cards in this collection depict Hall of Famers. The 1932 multisport set produced by U.S. Caramel is considerably rarer than Goudeys and most other 1930s sets, and has long been recognized as among the most desirable issues of the era. With their distinctive red backgrounds, they are also widely regarded as one of the most striking of all 1930s card issues. This collection consists of the following: #1 Collins (GOOD 30), 17 Simmons (VG 40), 23 Foxx (GOOD+ 35), 27 Grove (GOOD 30), and 30 Frisch (GOOD+ 35). This is a very attractive collection of five baseball Hall of Famers from the scarce and desirable U.S. Caramel set. The equivalent SMR value in the assigned grades is $670 (factoring the half-grades at the lower whole-grade level). Total: 5 cards. Reserve $200. Estimate $400+.
