Exceptional high-grade complete ten-card set of 1958 Bell Brand Potato Chips cards. This very scarce and distinctive set featuring Dodgers players was issued regionally only in the Los Angeles area to commemorate the Dodgers' first season on the West Coast. One card was packaged in a thin cellophane wrapper with each bag of Bell Brand Potato Chips. As a result of the product with which they were packaged, heavy grease stains and creases are common with this issue, making it all the more difficult to assemble a high-grade set. Each card has been graded and encapsulated by PSA (all submitted by REA). This is an extraordinary set, which ranks fourth overall on the PSA Set Registry with an impressive 6.49 GPA. PSA Grading Composite: Two NM-MT 8: Drysdale and Reese SP. Two NM 7: Campanella and Hodges. Four EX-MT 6: Cimoli SP, Koufax, Podres SP, and Zimmer. One EX+ 5.5: Gilliam. One EX 5: Snider SP. All cards are bright, crisp, and clean, with a tremendous overall display value. The total SMR value for the individual cards is $3,730. Total: 10 cards. Reserve $1,000. Estimate $2,500+.
