24% Vg-Ex (including six higher), 47% Vg, and 29% lower. The 1954 Topps set has always been one of the most popular sets of the 1950s. Issued in the heart of the decade, the 1954 Topps set features many Hall of Famers and stars, including two examples of Ted Williams (first and last card in the set), all in brilliant and stunning color. Presented is a very attractive near-complete set of this classic issue. Missing are the rookie cards of Hank Aaron and Ernie Banks. Keys: #1 Williams (GOOD 2), 3 Irvin (Vg-Ex), 10 Robinson (BVG G-VG 2.5), 13 Martin (Vg), 17 Rizzuto (10/90 L/R, otherwise Ex), 20 Spahn (Vg), 30 Mathews (Gd), 32 Snider (Vg), 36 Wilhelm (mark on back, otherwise Vg), 37 Ford (Vg+), 45 Ashburn (Vg), 50 Berra (Vg), 90 Mays (Vg), 102 Hodges (Gd), 132 Lasorda RC (98/2 L/R, otherwise Vg-Ex+), 201 Kaline RC (VG 3), 239 Skowron RC (Ex), and 250 Williams (PSA GOOD 2). This is a very consistent near-complete set of this early 1950s classic. Technically the set falls into the "midgrade" category. Early sets in this grade are especially desirable, and are among the most outstanding and least volatile values in the world of vintage cards. Total: 248 cards. Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$1,000+.
