An attractive graded trio of one of Ty Cobb's most striking and sought-after cards, from one of the most popular sets of the 1930s. 1) SGC FAIR 20. Well centered, with outstanding registration and color, this example displays excellent visual appeal. Creasing and a small scrape in Cobb’s jersey account for the modestly assigned grade. 2) GAI GOOD 2. Crisp and clean, with near-perfect centering and registration, this example has been appropriately downgraded for pen marks and a scrape of paper loss on the reverse. 3) GAI FAIR 1.5. Very presentable, well-centered example. A pen mark on the front and remnants of scrapbook removal on the back are responsible for the assigned grade. The Sport Kings is one of Cobb’s most popular and majestic cards. Being the number-one card in the set, this card naturally gravitated to the top of the stack, usually exposing it to extra wear and handling. This is a very presentable yet still relatively affordable trio of this all-time classic Cobb card. Total: 3 cards. Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$1,000.
