Very attractive pair of cards from the 1922 V61 Neilson's Chocolate series, each depicting a notable Hall of Famer and graded by SGC. 1) Harry Hooper (Type 2, EX/MT+ 82). Crisp and clean, both front and back, with light corner wear and centering slightly to the right. 2) #32 George Sisler (Type 1, VG/EX 50). Crisp and clean, with excellent centering and a boldly printed reverse. Light corner wear (with a bit more to the lower left) and a light wrinkle across the upper left corner account for the assigned grade. The V61 Neilson's Chocolate series is one of the most substantial and overlooked sets from the 1920s. This is an outstanding pair of Hall of Famers that would make a worthy addition to any prewar classic-card collection. Total: 2 cards. Reserve $200. Estimate (open).
