Substantial collection of supplements from two different publications spanning the years 1910 to 1962. Both Baseball Magazine and Baseball Monthly issued these sepia-toned supplements featuring images of Major Leaguers of the day. This collection is highlighted by forty-seven Hall of Famers, including Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio, and Ted Williams, among others. Both supplements measure approximately 9 x 12.25 inches. This collection consists of the following: 1) 1910-1957 M114 Baseball Magazine Posters (167): Including Cronin, Dickey (2), J. DiMaggio, Doerr, Feller, Foxx (2), Gehrig, Gomez, J. Gordon, Greenberg, Heilmann, Hubbell, Landis, Lopez (2), Manush, Medwick (2 different poses), Newhouser (2 different poses), Ott, Pennock, Rice, Rizzuto, Ruth, Schalk, Schoendienst, Vaughan, Wagner, T. Williams, 1926 Yankees Team (with Gehrig and Ruth), 1929 Cubs Team, 1933 Senators Team, and 1946 Cardinals Team (with Musial). One poster (Roy Cullenbine) is autographed. 2) 1962 Baseball Monthly Posters (35): Including Alexander, Ashburn, Campanella, Dean, Greenberg, Grove, Hodges, Hornsby, Killebrew, Mack, Roberts, F. Robinson, Speaker, Wagner, Wynn, and Young. Condition of the supplements is approximately 50% Vg-Ex to Ex and 50% slightly lesser (these often present at a better level but have been downgraded due to tiny tears, stains, or spots of paper loss on the blank reverse). This is a very attractive and sizable collection of these popular supplements with a particularly significant representation of Hall of Famers. Total: 202 supplements. Reserve $200. Estimate (open).
