Presented are both Roger Bresnahan variations, relating to the text on the reverse, from the 1914 E145 Cracker Jack series. This is a very interesting and noteworthy card in the 1914 Cracker Jack set. Card #17 Bresnahan was issued in two ways: with and without the card number on the reverse. One card is graded and encapsulated by PSA and the other by SGC. 1)
No Number On Back (PSA PR-FR 1). This variation is the rarer of the two, and one of the most difficult of all 1914 Cracker Jacks. Well centered example, with bold colors, flawless registration, light wear on the corners, and moderate staining (as expected from 1914 Cracker Jack cards). A half inch tear on the right edge accounts for the modest grade by PSA. 2)
Number On Back (SGC GOOD 30). This is a very strong example for its grade, with even wear at the corners, bright colors, flawless registration, and centered to the left. These cards would make ideal additions to any mid-grade 1914 Cracker Jack master set. Total: 2 cards. Reserve $200. Estimate $400+.
