Graded VG/EX+ 55 by SGC. Exceptional example of Harry Davis from the extremely rare D359 Williams Baking series. This card features a classic portrait image with the "1910 World's Champions" overprint. D359s are among the rarest of all 1910-era issues. Produced to commemorate the Athletics’ 1910 Championship season, the set exclusively features Athletics, including manager Connie Mack. The very same images were used for similar sets issued by Rochester Baking and T208 Cullivan's Fireside Tobacco. The offered card is bright and crisp, with outstanding centering, perfect registration, and four strong corners. The Williams Baking advertisement on the back is boldly printed and clean. There is a tiny surface indentation near the right edge on the reverse (of no consequence and mentioned for the sake of accuracy). This is a very attractive card which has a much stronger overall appearance at a glance than its assigned grade suggests. An outstanding sample card from this rare bakery-card issue. Reserve $200. Estimate $400+.
