Presented is a very rare example of Wild Bill Donovan (Detroit Tigers) in a throwing pose from the classic T206 set with an extremely desirable Broad Leaf 350 advertising reverse. This is the ONLY example featuring a Broad Leaf 350 reverse ever graded (at any level) by SGC! Broad Leaf 350 series backs are unusual and very rare, though not quite as rare as the rarest T206 advertising backs (such as Broad Leaf 460 series, Drum, or Uzit). According to T206Resource.com, the Broad Leaf 350 series back ranks as the ninth scarcest on its list of thirty-nine different T206 advertising backs. This card was part of a totally untouched collection of 1910-era tobacco cards consigned to this auction (cards from this collection are divided among several lots of the auction) that was saved for decades by the family of the original owner. Graded POOR 10 by SGC (submitted by REA), the offered example displays a number of condition issues, including multiple creases, even rounding to the corners, and a few stains. The important Broad Leaf advertising reverse, however, is boldly printed, making this an ideal example for back collectors. A worthy addition to any T206 set or rare-back collection. Reserve $200.
