Graded VG-EX 4 (MK) by PSA. A very attractive T206 portrait of Cy Young set against a bold green background. This is one of Cy Young's most iconic cards and one of the most popular cards in the entire T206 set. This particular card is a remarkably striking example for this Cy Young pose. The colors are bright, and Young’s image is perfectly focused. The shade of green in the background allows for ideal contrast and gives this card particularly strong eye-appeal. The card is well centered with even wear to the four corners. The Piedmont reverse is boldly printed. There are faint remnants of pencil writing along the top border of the reverse, which accounts for the "MK" qualifier. A very attractive midgrade example of one of Cy Young’s most striking cards from the premier tobacco-card set of the era. Reserve $300. Estimate $500+.
