Collection of fifty-eight different T206 White Border tobacco cards, each graded and encapsulated VG/EX 50 by SGC. All have Piedmont or Sweet Caporal advertising backs (except for one Tolstoi as noted). This is part of a larger collection of T206 cards, which we have broken down into several smaller lots organized by condition. This lot consists of the following: Abbaticchio/blue sleeves, Abbaticchio/brown sleeves, Alperman, Ames/hands above head, Arellanes, Ball/New York, Barbeau, Bates, Beck, Becker, Bell/hands above head, Bell/pitching follow thru, Bergen/Batting, Bergen/catching (Tolstoi), Berger, Bescher/hands in air, Birmingham, Bliss, Bradley/with bat, G. Brown/Chicago, Burch/batting, Burns, Bush, Camnitz/arms folded, Carrigan, Charles, Cicotte (Black Sox), J. Clarke, Conroy/Fielding, Conroy/with bat, Covaleski, Cree, Criss, H. Davis/Davis on front, H. Davis/H. Davis on front, J. Delehanty, Demmitt/New York, Devore, Dineen, Donlin/fielding, Donlin/seated, Doolan/batting, Doolan/fielding, Downey/batting, Downey/fielding, J. Doyle/N.Y., hands above head, L. Doyle/throwing, Dubuc, Jo. Dunn, Elberfeld/Washington, fielding, Engle, Evans, Ferguson, Fiene/throwing, Fletcher, Ford, Frill, and Fromme. This is a very impressive group that would make a significant contribution to the completion of an exceptional high-quality set. The fact that all are in the identical grade, a grade which many believe offers one of the very best values for cards from the classic T206 series, makes this is a particularly noteworthy collection. The equivalent SMR value in the assigned grades is $5,085. Total: 58 cards. Reserve $1,500. Estimate $3,000++.
