Collection of sixty-two different T206 White Border tobacco cards, each graded and encapsulated VG/EX 50 by SGC (except for one VG/EX+ 55 as noted), comprised exclusively of minor leaguers. All have Piedmont or Sweet Caporal advertising backs. This is part of a larger collection of T206 cards, which we have broken down into several smaller lots organized by condition. This lot consists of the following: Adkins, Abbott, Anderson, Armbruster, Arndt, S. Barry, Brain, Brashear, Burchell, Carr, Casey, Cassidy, Clancy, Clark, Clymer, Congalton, Cravath, Davidson, Dessau, Dorner, Downs, Flanagan, Freeman, Ganzel, Grimshaw, Hannifan, Hayden, H. Hinchman, I. Hoffman, Jackson, Kisinger, Kruger, Malarkey, Maloney, McGann, McGlynn, Milligan, Mitchell, Moeller, H. Moran, Nattress, Oberlin, O'Brien, O'Neil, Phelan, Pickering, Poland, Quillen, Randall, Ritter, Rudolph, Schirm, Schlafly, Schreck (Lionel Carter Collection), Shannon, Sharpe, Shaw (VG/EX+ 55), Slagle, He. Smith, Strang, J. White, and Wright. This is a very impressive group that would make a significant contribution to the completion of a set of extremely high quality. The fact that all are in the identical grade, a grade which many believe offers one of the very best values for cards from the classic T206 series, makes this is a particularly noteworthy collection. The equivalent SMR value in the assigned grades is $4,650. Total: 62 cards. Reserve $1,000. Estimate $2,500++.
