Collection of thirteen different cards from the desirable T206 White Border Southern Leaguer subset, representing slightly more than a quarter of the 48-card set. Each card is professionally graded and encapsulated EX 5 by PSA. The Southern Leaguers have always been appreciated for their scarcity and as a popular subset to the T206 series. They have also always been listed at a significant premium in relation to regular cards in the set. Eight cards have Piedmont advertising backs while five have Old Mill advertising backs (as noted). PSA Grading Composite: Cranston - Memphis, Greminger - Montgomery (Old Mill), Hart - Montgomery, Hooker - Lynchburg (Old Mill), Howard - Savannah, Kiernan - Columbia, King - Danville, Lipe - Richmond (Old Mill), Molesworth - Birmingham, Orth - Lynchburg, Revelle - Richmond, C. Smith - Shreveport (Old Mill), and Thornton - Mobile (Old Mill). The scarcity of the Southern Leaguers has always made putting together a complete T206 set particularly difficult. This is a very attractive group of Southern Leaguers that will provide an outstanding foundation for the assembly of a complete subset. The SMR value in the assigned grades is $5,005. Total: 13 cards. Reserve $1,500. Estimate $3,000++.
